July can feel like the “in-between” month—your calendar’s still packed with kid activities, summer trips, and spontaneous pool days, but in the back of your mind, you’re already thinking about August. School’s coming. Schedules are shifting. And if you’re like many of my clients (ambitious, multi-tasking, business-owning moms), you’re ready to move out of maintenance mode and back into momentum.
The good news? You don’t need to overhaul your business to feel ready. A few intentional actions to prep your business now can set you up to launch strong in August, without the scramble.
Before you dive into fall promos or a big marketing push, take a beat to make sure your offers still reflect where you are (and where you’re headed).
Taking 30 minutes to check in with your offers now means fewer pivots later—and helps you market with confidence when August rolls around.

You’d be surprised how many women I work with are driving traffic to a website that doesn’t actually reflect their current business. If your services, photos, or messaging have changed—even a little—this is your sign to do a quick refresh.
Same goes for your Instagram bio. Is it clear what you do and how someone can work with you? If not, update it now so you can start attracting aligned clients again.
Use your slower July pockets to map out your content for August. You don’t need to write 4,000-word blog posts—but start brainstorming weekly topics, promotional angles, and ways to reconnect with your audience.
Pro tip: If you’re launching something this fall, use July to plan the lead-up. Your future self will thank you.
If your list has been a little quiet this summer, now’s the perfect time to warm them back up. A simple check-in email sharing a personal story, lesson learned this summer, or preview of what’s coming next can be a great way to re-engage your audience without diving straight into sales mode.
Don’t wait until mid-August when your schedule gets full again. Carve out an hour this month to review your revenue goals, clarify your focus, and map out what “momentum” will look like for you in Q3.
(And if you’re not sure where to start, my free Brand Foundation Worksheet can help you get clarity fast.)
Whether you’re feeling behind or just enjoying a slower pace this summer, you’re not too late. July is the perfect bridge month—your chance to clean things up, reset your focus, and prepare for a season of growth.
You don’t need to do it all at once—just keep moving forward with intention. Ready to update your brand or website before fall? Let’s talk through your timeline and goals by starting here.
